The Toyota Tundra pickup truck is the full-sized pickup truck in the Toyota line. It features three engine options, three cab styles and two bed choices. The cargo beds come in two dimensions, regular and long bed of 8.1 feet. The long bed is only available with the regular cab and Double Cab models. No major changes are anticipated between the 2010 Tundra and the 2011Tundra as far as accessories or technology, however, there may be some minor aesthetic upgrades. Toyota Tundra offers one V6 and two V8's among its power plant stable. The 4.0 liter engine is the V6. Among it's V8's, are a 310 hp, 4.6 liter engine and and flex-fuel capable 5.8 liter, 381 hp engine. The V6 engine is only available on 4x2 drive trucks, while the V8's are available on either 4x2 or 4x4 drive trucks.
The Toyota Tundra's cab models include the Regular Cab as the utilitarian truck, with basic features for the person seeking a capable vehicle for their work-day needs. These base features can be upgraded to include more luxurious features at extra cost. Standard features include an MP3-capable six speaker CD stereo, split-folding bench seat, with bucket seats available as an upgrade, rubberized flooring, with carpet available as an upgrade. A DVD-based navigational system is available on all cab models. The Double Cab model includes standard cruise control, power windows and door locks and a nifty fold up rear seat. There is the option to upgrade the stereo system to a JBL audio system with an integrated DVD navigational system. Bucket seats and a convenient overhead console bin are also available optional upgrades. The CrewMax model also offers a four door arrangement with an optional moon roof, a standard power vertical power sliding rear window, and exterior accents including chrome grille and chrome-trimmed power-folding side mirrors. A Limited trim option, is available that includes the JBL stereo system as standard, upgraded Optitron gauges which feature an informational display, a tilt-telescoping steering wheel, front and rear sonar which aids in parking, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, leather-trimmed upholstery and power front seats. |
